I love my life!  I get to work at a really cool company where we all try to do good for the planet (but sometimes the client comes first…).  I get to do my job in one of the most amazing places in the world.  OK, maybe Centennial, Colorado isn’t that amazing…. but it’s within a few hours’ drive to some amazing places: the mega volcano, the desert of southwest, and the mighty Rockies.  And all of this is paradise for the outdoor junkie/photographer/geologist like me!

You can learn a little bit more about me on my website but here is a few things you might not have known.  I love food but could live perfectly happy never eating pasta with red sauce again, I just don’t get the fascination.  I make killer mashed potatoes.  I believe my body is plotting to kill me by kicking into ninja assassin mode every time I touch an apple.  I hate ALL insects!  I like to drink good beer and I recently begun the fascinating journey of learning how to make it myself.  I have an amazing dog named Aidan who comes along with me on almost every trip. 

So yes, I am the nutcase who loves to get dirty and challenge myself anytime I can.  I am at my best when I’m in the wild, away from people.  I love to sleep in the igloo and hike through very dark and narrow canyons.  I enjoy waking up in the middle of the night to drive 3 hours to catch the “magic light”.  I am awake when others sleep and asleep when everyone is out partying.

By writing this blog I hope to convey the feeling I get when I’m out there.  I will include the stories behind the images so that maybe you can vicariously live through my adventures or maybe get motivated to get out there and enjoy the beauty around you.
