Hello everyone and thanks for your interest in my gallery. As long as I can remember I had a love affair with the natural world and especially mountains. Growing up in Poland I had plenty of chances to visit some remarkable locations in my native country as well as around Europe. My initial fascination with photography sprouted from my love of travel and the outdoors. It was a way for me to re-live the adventures after my return to civilization. In 1993 my parents, sister and I left Poland and made a new home in a suburb of New York City. Living in the shadow of one of the most culturally diverse cities was a big influence on my development as an artist and a photographer. Having access to some of the greatest museums, galleries, photo labs and dark rooms made it that much easier to pursue my goals. However, something was missing. I never felt at home in the “concrete jungle”. I grew up in a city but I was always fortunate to be able to get away from it all and spend summers in the country. My mind and body needed mountains and lakes to relax and recharge. My love of the outdoors pushed me towards a degree and career in Geology. I was able to learn as much as I could about the world around me which made me appreciate the beauty of it that much more. I was able to travel, photograph and study my favorite subject. I am at my best in the wild, whether it’s alpine tundra of the Rockies, desert and canyons of the Southwest or the forests of Adirondacks. My goal is to translate this passion for the outdoors through my photography. My long time dream of living close to mountains came true when I relocated to Denver, Colorado in 2008. This move has really opened my eyes and soul to photography and made me realize I am living a dream and never want to wake up. All comments and ideas are welcome.
